A2: Challenging students can be overwhelming for teachers. I've seen teachers struggle with a range of things from classroom management and discipline to supporting the behavior-challenged child AS WELL AS the other students. It affects everyone in the classroom #oklaed

A5: I think teachers need more resources and training. Counselors who have so much knowledge in this area are constantly asked to do so much that they don’t have time to do the job they have been trained to do. #oklaed

A7: Initially they may be identified as a threat. That’s why it’s critical to get to know the “why” behind the behavior. Somebody must connect with them. I tell the students to make sure they have at least 1 “go to” person in the building #oklaed

A9: the trauma can be temporary from military parents being deployed or them coming back from deployment. Reach out to their parents and even their base for support and resources! #oklaed #militarychild
