Using IFTTT

This post will be short and sweet. I have been playing around with a couple of different sites: Medium and LinkedIN.

Trying to combine my blog with both of these sites led me to try out using If This Then That (IFTTT).

Have you tried any of these sites? Do you like them? Thoughts?

I’m a huge fan of Medium. I’ve contributed, I’ve commented with a piece length of substantial length, and I’ve commented with a sentence or two. There are quite a few authors I really like and read regularly. I get the daily highlights email with the ‘three items’ chosen for me leading off. And I save each daily email for possible use – and have done that a number of times.

What I haven’t done with Medium is access it on a laptop computer. I’m told from only the laptop can I send private notes as well as post my blog posts. Each blog post is easily shared on Twitter and Facebook from my iPad but not on Medium from my iPad.

I’m on LinkedIn but, honestly, I don’t like using it. To date, I’ve never seen usefulness for me.

I’m hoping to expand my presence on Medium but not interested at the moment in the same on LinkedIn.

Thanks for the ‘heads-up’ on IFTTT. I just might have generated a Medium post any time there’s a new post to “Considerations.” I’ll see what happens next time a publish a new post…
